The cast of the show are all standing #UpForSchool by signing our youth-led petition, which demands that all children around the world get an education. There are 59 million girls and boys who donÂ鶹APP™t go to school because of child marriage, child labour, discrimination, poverty and war.

Liv and MaddieÂ鶹APP™s younger brother Joey is a typical awkward teenager. HeÂ鶹APP™s played by Joey Bragg Â鶹APP“ and he was happy to sign the petition, which will be handed to world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in September.

Liv and Maddie go to Ridgewood High Â鶹APP“ and their parents both work there too. Mum Karen is the school psychologist and dad PeteÂ鶹APP™s the basketball coach. TheyÂ鶹APP™re played by Kali Rocha and Benjamin King, who both signed #UpForSchool.

Then thereÂ鶹APP™s little Parker, the youngest sibling. HeÂ鶹APP™s played by 13-year-old Tenzing Norgay Trainor Â鶹APP“ his name might sound familiar even if youÂ鶹APP™ve never seen Liv and Maddie.

ThatÂ鶹APP™s because he is the grandson of the famous Tenzing Norgay, a Sherpa from Nepal who was one of the first two people to climb the worldÂ鶹APP™s highest mountain, Mount Everest, in 1953. Here he is on the right with Sir Edmund Hillary.

The family of Tenzing Norgay TrainorÂ鶹APP™s mother comes from ,Ìýwhich was devastated by major earthquakes in April and May. More than 9000 people were killed and thousands of schools were destroyed or damaged Â鶹APP“ leaving almost one million children out of school.

TenzingÂ鶹APP™s family have been fundraising to support education and health supplies for the . The organisation is creating temporary learning spaces, helping to rebuild schools and giving girls who are at risk of trafficking a safe place to learn.Ìý

Like all children, these students in Nepal just love to learn. And thatÂ鶹APP™s the same at Ridgewood High School. HereÂ鶹APP™s a sign from the show to prove it.
