Facebook and Â鶹APP Celebrate International Women’s Day 2014
To kick off International WomenÂ鶹APP™s Day Celebrations, Facebook held an event for Â鶹APP with high-level women executives across Europe, Middle-East and Africa, who all convened in London to raise awareness for girlÂ鶹APP™s education and the incredible impact we can have worldwide if we can get the 57 million children worldwide into school and learning.
Paloma Faith performed a fantastic set of her music and after Sarah Brown spoke, we screened the film, which is the story of Malala, Shazia and Kainat, trying to get an education in Pakistan.  A young youth advocate called Amrit Kaur Lohia, who is an Envision Ambassador, a partner of  and a mentor to young girls, who talked of her own inspirational story, of what it is like to come from a disadvantaged background and the impact education can have on girlÂ鶹APP™s future.
